In Taiwan, many universities and colleges establish, Design College or Arts College. Only DAYEH University has the School of Design and Arts. The primary purposes of our education are to combine design and arts. Whichever department students are in this school, they are able to learn course and works provided in other departments. Students are able to expand their vision and in contact with special sectors.

The Department of Plastic Arts offers a wider range of studies in both pure and applied art. The goal of the department is to educate its students to develop a high level of creativity and productivity in arts.

Industrial Design courses contain Design Fundamentals and workshop trainings. For third and fourth year study, the curricula offer human factors, study of mechanical structure, and design practice, topics include motor vehicle, electrical appliances and cultural creative products etc.

The Department of Architecture and Interior Design intends to develop the overall design (Total Design) spatial concept and integrate the basic theory, new arts, and new technology in the fields of architecture, environment and interior design. In order to achieve the interactive balance between human beings and constructed spaces, we focus the learning on environmental response patterns, perceived physical phenomena, case studies, digital technologies and multi-media applications.

Visual communication is one of the most important media for modern art and design. Study fields cover Graphic and multimedia Design, Animation and Video Art. Main courses are Typography, Web Graphic Design, Video Production, Animation, Multimedia, Commercial Film, Video Art, etc. The department hopes to contribute to society by making visual communication as part of our cultural life.

Students can pursue advanced study in different fields, including Industrial Design, Architecture and Interior Design, Plastic arts and Cultural Industry. Each field emphasizes the combination of theories and practices. The aim of the program is to educate and cultivate students who have a talent for arts or design.

傳播是人們透過符號、信號，傳遞、接收與反饋信息的活動；是人們彼此交換意見、思想、情感，以達到相互了解和影響的過程；世界處處充滿了傳播現象，但是在傳播過程中的品質與元素，絕對是影響人們生活藝術化的重要因素。鑒於此，本學程課程規劃以美學、人文素養為基礎，厚植傳播藝術的實務能力， 以培育「傳播行銷」、「影視媒體」二大主軸之專業人才，因應「創作國際化」、「傳播藝術化｣、｢內涵人文化｣的時代匯流趨勢，培育新聞媒體的傳播與行銷經營人才，以及影視媒體與廣告動畫的創作與管理人才。

本學位學程的發展方向是讓學生對數位內容有一全貌的認識，以因應資訊時代快速的變化和未來的需求。 課程將針對網路多媒體系統設計、數位影音處理、遊戲設計與虛擬實境、數位學習等數位內容領域做完整介紹。
