The School of Management at Da-Yeh University cultivates students with managerial profession, creativity, as well as the spirit of teamwork. We offer complete doctorate, master’s and bachelor’s programs, provided with excellent managerial faculty. To provide capable talents for enterprises, we are engaged in a variety of innovative activities, such as collaborative curricular planning with our partner enterprises and introducing industry instructors for practical courses. To equip students, as well as members of faculty, with practical abilities in management and the flexibility in coping with changes in the external environments, we collaborate with local industries on enterprises visiting, enterprise apprenticeship and academics-industry cooperation.

The Ph.D. course in management is integrated with related disciplines that combine all resources, such as teachers, facilities, library, and so on in the School of Management to create multiple management knowledge, to extend research area, to have in-depth understanding of research disciplines, and to enhance professional research abilities. Our professional research areas include Human Resource Management, Marketing Management, Finance Management, and Information and Technology Management.

The objective of the Department of Business Administration is to nurture students to become professional managers with integrated capabilities in skills of management, communication, cooperation, concernment, and sense of creativity. Moreover, our students are trained with the concept of “theory and practice”, which are keenly welcomed by the industries.

Our department aims to incubate professionals with global awareness in the field of international business management. The features of the department emphasize the combination of theories and practices accompanied by corporate visits in accordance with the discipline of each course in order to carry through experience teaching. The design of the course aims to cultivate students’ global awareness and enhance their foreign language proficiency. In order to achieve these objectives and help students build respect for other cultures, the department establishes four-year English and Japanese language programs, encouraging cross-learning and in-class interactions with international students. The department also sets multiple graduation thresholds. Furthermore, the department aims to increase the university-industry interactions by creating a platform for more expertise sharing among private firms, governmental agencies, schools and research institutions, and to equip students with appropriate manners in order for the department to become the best partner to the businesses and help businesses to become internationally known.

The Department of Information Management at Da-Yeh University was the first to offer an undergraduate program and a master program in information management among all universities in central Taiwan. The size, educational quality, and research activities of the Department have been regarded as one of the leading Information Management departments in Taiwan. Based on the experience and knowledge we have accumulated for more than 10 years, we continue to improve our teaching and research strengths through innovation and provide our students with an integrated training of information technologies and proficient management skills. Since 2007, the new undergraduates of the College of Management are not required to select their majors until their third year in the College. Two major curricula, web-enabled information management & services curriculum and information technology & professional licence curriculum, are then developed to accommodate this new policy and to meet the growing e-business trend. The Department operates a two-phase progressive internship program. This program provides our students enrolled in the undergraduate programs with a wide range of opportunities to apply their knowledge and skills in a structured professional environment under the supervision, guidance and mentoring of current practitioners in the information profession. These curricula and internship program give our undergraduate students the options of pursuing graduate studies or working as information management professionals in the industry after their graduation.

With the onset of a globalized economy, industrial societies have been developed as economic structures that can create and utilize information. The current tendency is to computerize accounting information, and, therefore, the main goal of the department is to equip students at the same time with the necessary skills in accounting, information management and foreign languages required for professional purposes.

Due to recent economic prosperity in Taiwan, Taiwanese people are getting more and more concerned about the quality of living, which is very much related to health, leisure and sports areas. It is commonly believed that sporting activities can contribute to the quality of a person’s life. In recent years, Taiwanese government and private enterprises have also been investing in this area by creating more leisure and sports facilities in order to meet people’s needs in this aspect. The main objective of our department is to cultivate more sports management specialists for the government and private enterprises. The program can be divided into two main areas: Enterprise Management and Sports Management.

In order to train professionals in teaching, learning and curriculum development, the program of Professional Development in Education offers courses on multicultural education, human development, methodology of education inquiry, statistics, psychological testing and assessment, and qualitative inquiry. Students are expected to be able to write technical reports and to present and publish their works formally by the end of the second year.
